Kentucky softball suffered consecutive losses in the 2024 Stillwater Regional in the NCAA Tournament, ending its 2024 season.
The Kentucky Wildcats softball team began their 2024 NCAA regional journey against the Michigan Wolverines on Friday, besting the Wolverines 4- 3 after a back-and-forth battle for the win, but Oklahoma beat Kentucky 6-2, sending it to the elimination bracket early on Saturday.
The elimination round against Michigan ended in a 4-2 loss and ended the Wildcats’ regional journey and their season. The victory against Michigan marked the 11th straight NCAA Regional opening round win for Kentucky.
At the bottom of the seventh inning against the Wolverines, the two teams were tied 3-3 until Rylea Smith and Erin Coffel singled with one out to put two on.
