The University of Kentucky softball program will be hosting an open tryout session for the upcoming 2023 season.
The tryout will be held on Thursday, August 25th, and is open to all full-time, academically eligible UK students. If you are interested, please email Director of Operations, Brittany Cervantes at Brittany.Cervantes@uky.edu. The applying student will be required to have completed a current physical, sickle cell test result, and full-time enrollment verification.
UK finished the 2022 season with a 37-19 record, falling to Virginia Tech in the NCAA Regional in May.
Head coach Rachel Lawson brought in an exciting freshman class for the 2023 season, including Chelsea Mack, who was recently named the recipient of the New Balance Golden Shoe Award.
