Kentucky safety Ty Bryant was named Southeastern Conference Co-Freshman of the Week on Monday.
Bryant had 8 tackles for the UK defense in Saturday’s 24-3 victory at Mississippi State. The former Frederick Douglass High School star was making just his second career start.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky safety Ty Bryant has been named Southeastern Conference Co-Freshman of the Week for his performance in Saturday’s 24-3 win at Mississippi State, the league office has announced.
Bryant had eight tackles in helping limit MSU to 218 yards total offense, including just one play longer than 16 yards.
