Kentucky rises into top 15 in coaches poll after South Carolina win

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Kentucky football's rise up the national rankings is continuing.

Following a 24-10 win over South Carolina to move to 5-0 on the season and 3-0 in Southeastern Conference play, UK moved up two spots to No. 15 in the new USA TODAY Amway Coaches Poll released Sunday. The Wildcats moved up four spots to No. 13 in the Associated Press top 25.

The ranking marks Kentucky's highest spot in the poll since Oct. 21, 2007.

The Southeastern conference placed five teams in the coaches poll: Alabama (1), Georgia (2), LSU (6), Auburn (9) and Kentucky (15).
