Kentucky recently offered a scholarship to 2023 quarterback Jacob Jones. Jones is the son of former Wildcat quarterback Pookie Jones and will be a sophomore at West Jessamine High School.
Pookie Jones is a former Mr. Kentucky Football from Calloway County High School. He played QB in the early 90’s for Bill Curry. The elder Jones chose UK over the likes of Nebraska, Tennessee, and others. Pookie still remains as one of the most athletic passers in Kentucky history. I can’t imagine the numbers he would have put up if he played in Eddie Gran’s offense.
