Kentucky named finalist for Rhode Island transfer Jacob Toppin, brother of Obi Toppin

John Calipari and the Kentucky coaching staff are known for working in silence behind the scenes and pulling out surprises each year, and they may have just done it again.

This afternoon, Rhode Island transfer Jacob Toppin – brother of former Dayton superstar and National Player of the Year Obi Toppin – cut his list to three, and included the Kentucky Wildcats.

Toppin, a 6-foot-8, 190-pound forward originally out of Brooklyn, NY, will decide between Kentucky, Oregon, and Iowa State in the near future, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
