It’s been a couple of years since Johan Cedergren put together a Kentucky men’s soccer team as talented as this year’s, but the results were well worth the wait. It was announced by the league on Friday that eight different Wildcats received awards from the Sun Belt Conference.
Kentucky dominated the Sun Belt this season, finishing with a 10-2-4 overall record and a 7-1-1 mark against conference foes. That was good enough to lock up the top seed in the upcoming Sun Belt Conference Tournament, which begins at home on Sunday. The ‘Cats clinched the regular-season title on Halloween night thanks to a 1-0 win over Georgia State.
