While Kentucky sports fans may be excited and other times frustrated about how their favorite team is playing, the sport that has been the best this year and one of the most consistent on a yearly basis, by far, is volleyball.
The state of Kentucky is the only state in the country to have three teams in the American Volleyball Coaches Association top-20. University of Kentucky (12-0) is ranked third, University of Louisville (5-2) at 14 and Western Kentucky (9-0) is 20.
The only state closest to this feat is Texas, which has two with Texas (2) and Baylor (6).
