Kentucky football's 2021 class headlined by 'difference makers' from Bluegrass State

LEXINGTON – Mark Stoops is just three recruiting classes removed from becoming the first Kentucky football coach since records are available to not sign an in-state player in his 2018 class.

Kentucky fans need worry about the staff deemphasizing local talent no more.

Six of the 17 high school seniors signed as part of the 2021 recruiting class by Kentucky on Wednesday played for Bluegrass State schools.

If that statement were not strong enough, Stoops even reversed the narrative about the 2018 class by signing Georgia Tech linebacker Justice Dingle as a transfer. Dingle was a four-star prospect in the 2018 high school class who chose to go out of state rather than sign with UK.
