LEXINGTON - Kentucky football's win over Missouri is already paying off in the 2022 recruiting class.
Three-star junior college defensive back DeCarlos Nicholson, who took an official visit to Lexington for the game, committed to UK Monday. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound cornerback was previously committed to Mississippi State. He also boasted scholarship offers from Ole Miss, Baylor and Florida State.
The 247Sports Composite, which averages the ratings of the major recruiting services, ranks Nicholson as the No. 5 prospect in the 2022 junior college class and the No. 1 junior college cornerback in the class.
In his first two games of the 2021 season for Gulf Coast Community College, Nicholson has recorded two tackles, one tackle for loss and three pass breakups.
