In a 25-point victory, it's easy to overlook small mistakes. But for Kentucky Head Coach Mark Stoops, one specific breakdown in execution was so glaring that he addressed it multiple times after the game: the center-quarterback exchange.
Early in the third quarter, with Kentucky driving to put the game away, a fumbled snap between center Jager Burton and quarterback Cutter Boley on the 2-yard line killed a touchdown drive and forced the Wildcats to settle for a field goal. For Stoops, this was unacceptable.
"That's a problem" that has to be fixed now
"That’s a problem," Stoops stated emphatically in his press conference.
