Kentucky football has a chance to make more history in the Citrus Bowl

ORLANDO, Fla. — For all the history Kentucky football’s senior class has made, there is something still missing from the resume.

When you walk into the lobby of UK’s football training center, you will see the Governor’s Cup trophy prominently displayed after its return to Lexington following the team’s blowout win over rival Louisville to close the regular season. On a massive projector screen on one wall, you are likely to see highlights from the Wildcats’ nine wins — the program’s most in a regular season since 1977 — playing on a loop.
