LEXINGTON, Ky. — If St. Xavier alum Charles Walker never caught another pass at Kentucky, his career could be considered a success.
The Louisville native became the rare walk-on to play as a freshman after arriving at Kentucky in 2014. He earned a scholarship after two years on campus. As a junior, Walker ended the Wildcats’ seven-year stretch without a punt return for a touchdown.
But Walker need not be satisfied with a role as a locker room leader and example of the value of hard work and perseverance.
