Kentucky football assistant Jovon Bouknight demoted after offseason arrest

LEXINGTON - Kentucky football assistant coach Jovon Bouknight has been demoted from wide receivers coach to a quality control position on Mark Stoops' staff.

Bouknight was arrested at 2:30 a.m. on May 8 in Northern Kentucky on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, alcohol, etc.; possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle and speeding 26 mph or more over the speed limit.

According to an arrest citation from the Erlanger Police Department, Bouknight was pulled over after being clocked between 75 and 92 mph in a 65 mph zone over a three-mile stretch on I-75 south just north of the I-275 overpass.
