LEXINGTON - The Kentucky football staff celebrated Independence Day with a commitment from three-star linebacker Martez Thrower.
The Rochelle, Georgia native picked Kentucky over reported offers from Arkansas, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Michigan State, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Colorado, Georgia Tech and others. Thrower is rated as a three-star prospect by each of the major recruiting services.
Thrower is the second linebacker to commit to UK's 2021 recruiting class, joining Independence Community College linebacker Joko Willis. He is the Wildcats' 13th commitment in the class, which is ranked 42nd nationally by Rivals.com.
