Kentucky has not recruited South Florida frequently as of late, but four-star EDGE R Mason Thomas became a wanted prospect in the class of 2022.
However, the Wildcats were unable to close.
After being committed to Iowa State for over six months, R Mason Thomas became a flip on National Signing Day as the blue-chip prospect will continue his playing career at Oklahoma. New head coach Brent Venables just got a big addition to a top-10 recruiting class.
A top-300 prospect in the class of 2022, Kentucky targeted R Mason Thomas and was able to get the 6-2, 217-pound outside linebacker on campus for an official visit in December.
