The Cats gave us quite a scare tonight against Mississippi State, one of the league’s worst teams.
After leading by as many as 20 points, the Bulldogs clawed back to cut the game to three with under a minute to go. Lucky for blue, Alex Poythress drew a foul after hauling in a big offensive rebound, and hit two clutch free throws to get it back out to five. Ulis would soon do the same as Kentucky hung on to win, 80-74.
