Kentucky basketball holds off Auburn to snap four-game losing streak

LEXINGTON — Nothing is easy for Kentucky basketball this season.

Kentucky blew a 14-point second-half lead against Auburn but made just enough plays in the final minute to snap a four-game losing streak with an 82-80 victory.

The Wildcats scored 52 points in the second half, hitting 8 of 13 3s after intermission. Freshman guard Brandon Boston did much of the scoring damage with 17 points while hitting 5 of 8 3-point attempts.

Kentucky trailed by as many as nine points in the first half. The Wildcats shot just 33.3% from the field and hit 3 of 11 3-point attempts before intermission to take a six-point deficit in the locker room.
