Kentucky baseball (9-2) was not included in the latest D1 Baseball top 25 despite recording its first sweep of the season over Indiana State on Sunday.
The team, which has not made a postseason appearance since head coach Nick Mingione’s first season in 2017, has not been awarded a poll ranking so far this season.
A 15-1 win over Morehead State and a series sweep over Indiana State, both at home, highlighted the week for the Wildcats, giving them strong momentum before opening SEC play on March 17.
The SEC as a whole currently has nine teams in the top 25 and six in the top ten, with the numbers remaining unchanged from the week two rankings.
