Kentucky baseball (12-1) came from behind to win the second game of its home-and-home series against the Eastern Kentucky Colonels (2-11) by a score of 5-2 on Wednesday.

Early on it appeared as if the Wildcat offense picked up where it left off in Tuesday’s mercy rule victory by loading the bases with no outs after Ryan Waldschmidt and Émilien Pitre both drew walks and Patrick Herrera was hit by a pitch.

Nick Lopez then hit a fly ball to right field deep enough to bring home Waldschmidt and give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead.

Devin Burkes was hit by a pitch to reload the bases with one out, but back-to-back strikeouts ended the top half of the inning.
