The Kentucky baseball team bounced back in Game 2 after losing Game 1 again the Tennessee Volunteers to even up the series.
Zack Thompson took the mound for his first official start since he injured his left elbow. The Wildcats lefty pitched 3 innings where he faced 11 batters and gave up no hits, walked two batters and struck out 7. Needless to say, this Kentucky team is more than happy to have him back in the rotation as the postseason quickly approaches.
Kentucky was able to get on the scoreboard right out of the gate as Kole Cottam singled to center scoring Tristan Pompey to put the Cats up 1-0.
