Kentucky answers call for for balanced scoring in NCAA Tournament win over Idaho State

Before the Kentucky women's basketball team opened its NCAA Tournament run, coach Kyra Elzy set a clear goal for her team if it wanted to make a deep run.

Yes, the Wildcats boast one of the best players in the country in first-team All-American Rhyne Howard, but Elzy knew Howard would not be able to carry the team alone against the quality of competition ahead.

"We have to have a balanced scoring attack," Elzy said after her team was awarded a No. 4 seed on Selection Monday. "When we are at our best, we’re pushing the ball in transition and we have three to four people scoring in double figures.
