The Kentucky Wildcats begin their season this week, but they’ll do so with their only returning player from last year’s team that scored a point.
On Monday, head coach John Calipari revealed that sophomore forward Keion Brooks Jr. is not expected to play this week.
“Keion I do not believe he will be here the first week,” Calipari said Monday.
Brooks has been nursing a calf injury for several months now. He did take part in Kentucky’s recent Pro Day, so it looked as though he wasn’t in any danger of missing regular-season games.
