Former Kentucky Wildcats star Karl-Anthony Towns was in a car accident last week that resulted in him missing the first two games of his NBA career.
That is a pretty impressive streak, actually, considering he is on the back end of his fourth season with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
However, missing games was the least of Towns’ worries given the potential severity of the accident. He told the reporters on Monday that he feels lucky to be alive.
“The accident could have went — I’d say I had a 5 percent chance of making it out alive,” Towns said.
