Kansas head coach Bill Self is in the hospital after suffering a medical emergency following his team’s last summer practice this afternoon.
In a statement, KU Athletics said Self “felt unwell and experienced some concerning symptoms Thursday.”
The statement said doctors inserted two stents in Self at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
“The procedure went very well, and he is expected to make a full recovery,” the statement said.
