It was just two days ago that Mark Pope said Kam Williams‘ three-point shooting would come around. Call it a coach’s intuition, but he must’ve known what was about to be in store with his sophomore wing on Saturday afternoon in Atlanta.
Williams was terrific during Kentucky’s 78-66 win over St. John’s in the CBS Sports Classic. The 6-foot-8 transfer from Tulane finished with 11 points in 20 minutes, posting a +13 in the box score that was third-highest on the team. All of his points came in the second half, where he was a +16 in 13 minutes after the intermission.
