Unfortunately, Lynn Bowden wasn’t the only former Kentucky Wildcat cut by an NFL team ahead of Tuesday’s deadline.
By 4:00 p.m. EST, all 32 franchises were required to cut their rosters down to 53 players. Bowden, who was a member of the Miami Dolphins during the preseason, was one of the most notable names released across the league. Another pair of one-time ‘Cats were also cut on Tuesday: C Jon Toth (Washington Commanders) and TE Justin Rigg (Cincinnati Bengals).
Toth (2012-2017) is one of the greatest centers to ever come through the Kentucky program, recording 48 consecutive starts from his redshirt sophomore to senior season.
