John Wall speaks on launching rent relief program for D.C. residents

On Friday, we learned of former Kentucky star John Wall’s continued support for local residents in Washington, D.C. through the coronavirus pandemic.

Today, the former Wildcat was interviewed by MSNBC’s Craig Melvin about his 202 Assist program, a new initiative by Wall to provide rent relief for the residents of D.C.’s Ward 8, an area hit hard by the virus.

“The 202 Assist program, it’s a rent relief program to help the people in Ward 8 where we have our practice facility, where our Go-Go team (G League affiliate) gets to play their games and practices, and where the Washington Mystics (WNBA team) also practice and play their games,” Wall said in the interview.
