Believe it or not, John Petty still has college eligibility remaining and he’s going to use it.
Word just broke that Petty is withdrawing from the NBA Draft to return to Alabama for his senior season. The Huntsville native averaged 14.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists last year while connecting on 46.2% from the field. The one-time Kentucky target will be part of an impressive Crimson Tide squad alongside sophomore guard Jahvon Quinerly, sophomore guard Jaden Shackelford, senior wing Herb Jones, and Yale grad transfer forward Jordan Bruner. Sophomore guard Kira Lewis, projected to be a first-round pick, is expected to stay in the draft.
