LEXINGTON, Ky. – John Calipari’s Kentucky basketball team will need to duplicate the improved defensive effort and results it posted Wednesday against winless Monmouth against better competition before we find out if the team has really turned a corner.
But the 90-44 victory showed at least one change in the Kentucky coach’s plan.
“We needed this to say, here's who is playing,” Calipari said. “If you're not playing with energy, you're not playing. I'm just not going to put you in.
