With the season right around the corner, John Calipari is giving his players some extra homework. This afternoon, Calipari tweeted that he’s starting his book club back up, beginning with an old favorite, The Energy Bus by Jon Gordon.
“We will start with the Energy Bus by reading a couple chapters and talking about it and then move on to the next book,” Cal tweeted.
Calipari famously had Willie Cauley-Stein read The Energy Bus back in 2015 to help him through a slump. It worked. Willie went on to become a consensus First-Team All-American, National Defensive Player of the Year, and the sixth overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.
