John Calipari was cheered during his return to Memphis for an exhibition game on Monday night.
After the game, a 99-75 Arkansas win, Calipari talked about the places he’s left in the past and how the fans were always upset when he went elsewhere. Well, almost every place he’s left.
“Everywhere I’ve been, when I’ve left, they are mad,” Calipari said. “Well, maybe not. Maybe the Kentucky thing, they were happy, I don’t know. Um, but, you know what? You have so many relationships when you leave, they don’t go away.”
