After the game, Calipari said he wished he hadn’t tied the record, but Coach Hall has something to say about that.
“Go ahead and break my record. It’s there to be broken and I’m proud that it’s you,” Coach Hall said in a heartwarming video by Kentucky Athletics. “John, I would never, ever regret that you came here. You were born to coach at Kentucky.”
Hall’s message comes near the end of the video, which begins as a highlight reel of Calipari’s time so far at Kentucky.
