Kentucky women’s golfers Jensen Castle and Laney Frye competed in the U.S. Women’s Open this weekend at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club in Southern Pines, North Carolina. Unfortunately, both Castle and Frye failed to make Friday’s cut, shorting their stay in the Tar Heel state.
Frye started first in one of the earliest groups on Friday morning. Starting on the ninth hole, she parred her first three. A bogey on the 12th put her at 1-over. She was able to par the 13 and 14, but found trouble again with a bogey on the 15.
