The vibes were high all game long, until an apparent injury to starting point guard Jaland Lowe sucked the life out of Memorial Coliseum.
On Friday night in Lexington, the Blue team beat the White team 35-26 in the Kentucky men’s basketball team’s preseason Blue-White scrimmage. Lowe, who led all scorers with nine points, went down early in the second half of action, holding his right shoulder before being walked off the floor and into the locker room. He was playing well before the incident happened, too.
We’ll have to wait for official word from head coach Mark Pope, but it wasn’t what the Big Blue Nation wanted to see from their floor general a few weeks out from the season-opener.
