The Kentucky Wildcats made arguably the best hire of the college basketball off-season, hiring Jai Lucas away as special assistant to the head coach.
While he wont be serving an on-court coaching role at Kentucky like he did at Texas, he will be involved in recruiting, player development, and scouting, according to the University of Kentucky.
The Lucas hire was so good that three of 247 Sports’ recruiting analysts praised the move by the Wildcats coaching staff.
