LEXINGTON, Ky. – If Nick Mingione ever wins a College World Series as Kentucky’s baseball coach, Rocky Balboa, Tupac Shakur, Sheryl Crow and Taylor Swift might deserve an assist.
In late August in the Wildcat Den meeting room in the bowels of the former Commonwealth Stadium, pop culture icons took center stage as Mingione and his newly assembled coaching staff met with this season's team for the first time.
It was a presentation Mingione spent hours crafting with the help of his assistant coaches and Jason Cummins, the director of UK’s Impact Leadership program.
