One of Kentucky’s class of 2022 signees is facing a serious charge following his arrest.
Quentel Jones, who committed to the Wildcats in Dec. 2021, has been arrested on a battery charge that is being linked to the killing of a Georgia man. The news was first reported by WMGT-DT and WGXA out of Georgia. Jones was booked into the Peach County Law Enforcement Center on Thursday.
The 19-year-old Jones is being charged with battery in connection to the death of 37-year-old Brandon Godwin, who was killed last month due to a fatal shooting on May 14.
