Immanuel Quickley keeps a screenshot of his D+ Grade on his phone

Immanuel Quickley’s NBA career is off to a great start in New York, much better than CBS Sports predicted when the Knicks selected Quickley with the No. 25 pick back in November.

“He’s the reigning SEC player of the year and shot 42 percent from 3-point range, but this is nearly 30 spots higher than I expected,” Gary Parrish wrote in his NBA Draft recap. “His upside just does not match this place in the draft, but he could be a good shooter if nothing else. Grade: D+”

If nothing else, Quickley is currently the fifth-ranked rookie in the Kia Rookie Ladder over at NBA.
