Immanuel Quickley announces return to Kentucky

But not long after, fellow freshman guard Immanuel Quickley announced his return to UK on Instagram.

While Quickley clearly isn’t ready to make the jump to the NBA, there was some thought he could test the waters to get an evaluation from NBA personnel. It never hurts to get that info, but Quickley is instead opting to return for his sophomore season.

The Maryland native averaged 5.2 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game as a backup in his first collegiate season. He briefly held the starting point guard spot early in the season, but he eventually gave way to Ashton Hagans, who is also returning for his sophomore season.
