I have a theory that John Calipari walked into Saturday’s postgame press conference with an “Evansville!” rant ready to go. I think he went to bed Friday night with it and woke up with it Saturday morning.
In the moment, it seemed Calipari snapped on Kyle Tucker for mentioning the Evansville loss in a question about the team’s turnaround from that lowest of lows to winning the SEC’s regular season crown. It seemed that way because he did snap on Kyle Tucker for mentioning the Evansville loss. But in my opinion, Calipari sat down behind that microphone and that blue Gatorade that has to be at least five years old, with intentions of going off.
