How Mark Stoops is Delegating Special Teams Duties Without a Coordinator

Mark Stoops will play the 2020 Kentucky football season without a special teams coordinator. After filling that role for three seasons, Dean Hood took a job this offseason to be Murray State’s next head coach. In Hood’s place, Frank Buffano received a promotion, one that did not come with the title special teams coordinator.

“We’ll divide that up,” Stoops said in a recent edition of the Behind Kentucky Football podcast. “We have quite a few guys on our staff that have been special teams coordinators and have coached on special teams, so we’ll divide that up within the group.
