How Kentucky's new quarterback grew into the 'Terry Touchdown' legend

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The exact origin of the nickname is hazy.

But it is clear why classmates at Del City High School in Oklahoma first anointed Terry Wilson, Kentucky’s new starting quarterback, as “Terry Touchdown.”

“First ball he ever touched in a high school varsity game, we ran a counter read and he pulled the ball and went for a touchdown,” said Nick Warehime, Wilson’s former coach at Del City. “His first high school play in a real game, not a scrimmage.
