LEXINGTON – For all the change across the college football landscape during Mark Stoops’ nine years as Kentucky’s coach, at least one certainty has remained.
The Wildcats are going to face a Todd Grantham-coached defense.
Stoops has faced Grantham, Florida’s defensive coordinator, in each season during his UK tenure, against four different opponents. With a new offensive system in Lexington, the previous eight meetings with Grantham during the Stoops era might not play as important a role Saturday.
But there are still lessons to be learned as new offensive coordinator Liam Coen builds his game plan.
