LEXINGTON – John Calipari seems to already be preparing his latest Selection Sunday conspiracy theory with five weeks to spare.
“I thought we could have been a one seed, but that’s just me,” Calipari said Saturday when asked about his team being left out of the NCAA Tournament selection committee's top 16 teams in the early bracket reveal. Presumably, Calipari’s comment about being a one seed came with tongue planted firmly in cheek, but he seemed to suggest he felt Kentucky had been slighted by being left out of the top 16.
