LEXINGTON — Three keys for Kentucky football to earn its first victory at Tennessee since 1984.
1. Reverse trend versus Jarrett Guarantano
Against the rest of college football, Tennessee quarterback Jarrett Guarantano has been relatively pedestrian. Against Kentucky, he has looked like a star more often than not.
Advanced metrics-based website Pro Football Focus ranks Guarantano 13th of 14 SEC quarterbacks through three games, but UK coaches expect him to play far better than that this week.
“He’s as tough a young man that I’ve seen at quarterback,” UK defensive coordinator Brad White said. “He’ll take hits and pop right back up.
