Hot Mic: Nebraska president accidentally leaks Big Ten decision into microphone

The Big Ten is ready to announce it will play football and that announcement will come tonight, according to Nebraska president Walter “Ted” Carter Jr.

Carter Jr. was relaying that information to Bob Hinson, director of the National Strategic Research Institute, prior to a press conference at the University of Nebraska when his words were picked up by a hot microphone on the podium between them.

“We’re getting ready to announce the Huskers and Big Ten football tonight,” Carter told Hinson into the hot mic.

It was captured on video by KETV7 news in Omaha. You can see the clip here.
