After a slow start, the Kentucky Wildcats finished strong to defeat the University of Alabama-Birmingham by a final score of 69-58. Nick Richards and EJ Montgomery led the charge for the Cats, both flirting with double-doubles. Both big men finished with 16 points; Richards added nine rebounds while Montgomery had eight of his own.
Ashton Hagans also had a strong night, scoring nine points while dishing out an impressive 12 assists in 34 minutes. He had just two turnovers.
