It took awhile, but a fifth Kentucky Wildcats player has been taken in the 2019 NFL Draft.
With the 232nd selection in Round 7, the New York Giants selected offensive lineman George Asafo-Adjei. Big George becomes the fifth Wildcat select this year, joining Josh Allen (Jaguars in Round 1), Lonnie Johnson (Texans in Round 2), Mike Edwards (Buccaneers in Round 3) and Benny Snell (Steelers in Round 4).
Asafo-Adjei has been a fixture on the right side of Kentucky’s offensive line, as he became one of the SEC’s better right tackles by his senior season.
