Get to know Bruiser Flint, Kentucky basketball's reported Kenny Payne replacement

LEXINGTON - The search to replace Kenny Payne on John Calipari's Kentucky basketball staff has apparently not taken long.

Less than an hour after news broke that Payne had accepted an assistant coaching job with the New York Knicks in the NBA, multiple national reports surfaced that former Drexel coach and current Indiana assistant Bruiser Flint had been tabbed by Calipari to replace Payne.

Flint first worked for Calipari as an assistant coach at UMass from 1989 to 1996. Here is a closer look at Flint and his connections to Calipari.

Head coaching experience

Flint replaced Calipari as UMass head coach in 1996 after Calipari left the school for the NBA.
